An Abstract look at The Crystals of The I Ching as Codons of DNA and Nine Star Ki

The Crystals and their Connections

I have long thought that the 6/6 crystal and the 1/1 crystal have a connection but once you draw them up this way you also see that the 8/4 crystal seems to have a connection too. So perhaps all three of the single crystals of 12 codons have a connection. Therefore perhaps the Double Crystal and the Diamond crystal could be connected too. Note that in the 8/4 crystal the Alert in the centre also creates an alert in the crystals from this perspective. I have changed the crystal to a cross to better show the patterns.

  The 6/6 crystal is all about the 6 outside of the top half of the crystal and 3,4,7 & 8 on the inside. The bottom half of the crystal has the 3,4,7 & 8 on the outside and the number 2 on the inside... the peaks and the middle are made up of 6 & 2's.

The 1/1 crystal is all about the numbers 3 and * on the upper outside edges and 1/9 on the inside. The bottom half is all about the 1/9 on the outside with 4 & 7 on the inside. The peaks and the middle are made up of 1 of 9.

The 8/4 crystal is all about 3,4,7 & 8 at the peaks and centre with 1/9 to the outer top and 6/2 to the lower bottom.

We know already that numbers are interchangeable as shown below....

In each of the crystals 1 and 9 match inner and outer, or 2 and 6 or 3 and 8 or 4 and 7 the only time that is different is when we look at the alert in the 8/4 crystal East West centre position where 4/7 and 3/8 are together which puts 7/3 together in the centre and that IS NOT a match in I Ching terms. 4 and 7 are the same and 3 and 8 are the same but the 7/3 in the centre is not conforming to the usual standard.

6/6 is associated with Metal Heaven and 2/2 Earth …...then the 1/1 crystal is associated with 1/1 Water and 9/9 Fire..............then the 8/4 crystal is associated with Earth and Tree/Air and 7/3 Metal and Tree/Air so these three crystals give us......

1 Water, 2 Earth, 3 Tree/Air, 4 Tree/Air, 6 Metal, 7 Metal, 8 Earth, 9 Fire so all elements and numbers can be found amongst these three crystals. 1/9 and 6/2 seem to partner up and 3/8 and 4/7 partner up.

For me there can be no doubt that in some way these three crystals like to work together now we can follow this up by looking at the Double and the Diamond crystal and how they too work together.

A closer look at the energy in the Aspects

As aspects go we know we have 8 different shapes The Grand Trine, Alternator, Worker, Lecturer, Ruminator, Thinker, Teacher and Magician.

Each is a three sided triangle of differing angles and together they make up 60 red lines, 60 green lines and 72 blue lines. 192 lines in all and with 3 sides to each triangle that makes 64 shapes just like the 64 codons of DNA we see in the I Ching tables.

So active red energy and green thinking adapting energy have equal amounts available. Then we have 20 percent more of the blue energy..........that can manifest all that hard work.

So I suspect that in a birth chart there should be equal amounts of red and green aspects and 20 percent more of the blue. That would be the perfect balance that the codons show us here.

If I draw up my chart with very tight measure I have 3 red, 6 green and 4 blue aspects but if I spread them out a little more widening the aspects I can say it has the potential for 5 red, 7 green and 9 blue.

So tight angles I have excess green in my chart. Wide angles I still have excess green but now I also have excess blue. Or could it be described as a lack of red. Do I have so many ideas I exhaust myself too quickly.

Those marked red are all red aspects, those marked blue are all blue aspects those marked green have one blue line and two green lines. Those marked purple contain one red, one green and one blue line. Those marked orange are 2 green and one red line. Those marked yellow are two blue lines and one red line.

Notice we have no workers or ruminators below the 6/6, 1/1, 8/4 line and we have no Teachers or Magicians above that line. Only the 6/6 crystal contains Grand Trines.

If for every red line we need 2 green lines and 3 blue lines we can see above the 6/6 crystal has an excess of blue energy and may be so laid back it does not achieve its goals. It also shows a lack of green energy based on the started number of 6 red lines.

The 1/1 crystal has an excess of red energy and must be doing something all of the time, it has a lack of blue energy so does not get as much rest or peace as it requires to be balanced......stress and anxiety or highly creative.

The 8/4 crystal has an excess of red energy compared to blue and green leaving blue lacking.

LHS Double Crystal and also the RHS shows an excess of red energy and a lack of blue energy.

The Diamond crystal shows an excess of green energy and a lack of blue energy.

No one crystal has what is purported to be the correct amount of energies. The 6/6 crystal is so laid back it could be described as Heavenly or perhaps its just not of this world and not connecting as it should. The 1/1 Crystal which I believe partners it seems to have just what the 6/6 is lacking it has the red energy required to get things done and plenty of green energy to think about it and then use the blue energy of the 6/6 crystal to manifest it. Together they work well as a pair.

The 8/4 crystal and the diamond seem to have a relationship too.....the 8/4 has an excess of red and a lack of blue and the Diamond has an excess of green but also a lack of blue........so maybe they are not so much about manifest anew as repairing the old.

Then the double crystal which has the same amount of excess and lack on each side.....an excess of red doing energy and a lack of blue resting, manifesting energy..............

The Diamond is at the centre of the record player and the 6/6 crystal is at the outer edge and they have different lack and xs than the other crystals do. Is the diamond trying to push out from the centre and the 6/6 is pushing back into the centre and they play out in the middle areas of 8/4 and the double.

I am sure there is much more we can think on with the Crystals. 

As the DNA codons cannot be anything but the shapes they are I have to say a collection of 60 red lines 60 green lines and 72 blue lines throws a different slant on the xs and lack quantities 192 aspects lines in different colours and sizes and must make for a balance of red and green with a 20 percent increase in blue ....more to think on here. 

The Diamond Crystal Crystal Codons Aspects and Shapes

How did we ever come to know the crystals originally...... well take three coins shuffle them and throw them down......

In this case we have one blue line and two red ................so if we threw these coins we would have created Jin– Jang – Jang or in Nine Star Ki a number 4

Throw another three coins and you get....

Jin – Jin – Jang or in Nine Star Ki a number 8

So if we change the coins to lines solid or broken and we place the number 8 on top of the number 4 we get the following lines..........

This also creates the DNA Codon CAG and the Nine Star Ki 4/8 …... if we take the top line of this arrangement and move it to the bottom and in the process Jang becomes Jin we have a new pattern.........

This new pattern creates the DNA Code TCA and the Nine Star Ki 8/3....... if we continue to do this we will create the following 4 patterns before it once again creates the original 4/8 pattern. So the crystal has only 4 variations within it unlike all the others which have 12.

Each of the codes has a hexagram number and an opposite number which tells us where in the crystal shape peaks are but there are only 4 points in this crystal

creating a diamond shape.

 We now have four codons that go round and round reproducing themselves. The question I have with the diamond crystal is should it reproduce itself three times to create 12 positions or is it a tiny crystal. If we look at the record player of life we sit it fits nicely into the centre allowing the other codons to spread out from it so certainly in this position it remains a four. Codons like CAG have a habit of creating problems by reproducing themselves over and over I wonder if this reduction in its size causes some of these problems. The Diamond crystal may be small but it creates many questions. Notice how all the numbers are 3,4,7 or 8 which we know create the alerts where they don't conform to the standard set by most codons.

Each of these codons have a shape there are Magicians x 2.....Teachers x 2...... only 2 types of shape.

Shapes are as follows:

Red energy motivates it is strong and active a doing energy....there are 2 red lines within this crystal.

Blue energy is more restful, peaceful and shows talent …..there are 4 blue lines within this crystal.

Green lines are thinking energy, communications, connections, changing, adapting energies...... there are 6 green lines within this crystal.

2 + 4 + 6 = 12 energy lines............2 lines of red is average for doing energy, 6 green is above average for thinking energy and 4 blue is average to rest and have some peace. So this crystal has a lot of change and adaption connected to it........it is all about small powers, repair inner truth and following. If something has been spoiled the diamond crystal can come along and repair it. Corrupted files, restoration projects arresting further decay seems to be its priority. I wonder if mutated genetic inheritance can be repaired by the numbers 3,4,7 and 8. The recycler who prefers to repair than destroy caring and repairing. 

So The Diamond is at the centre of our Universe. x

7/6 - 8/2 Right Hand Side of the Double Crystal DNA Codons and Shapes

In this case we have two red and one blue................so if we threw these coins we would have created Jang– Jang – Jin or in Nine Star Ki a number 7

So if we change the coins to lines solid or broken and we place the number 6 on top of the number 7 we get the following lines..........

This also creates the DNA Codon GGT and the Nine Star Ki 7/6 …... if we take the top line of this arrangement and move it to the bottom and in the process Jang becomes Jin we have a new pattern.........

This new pattern creates the DNA Code CGG and the Nine Star Ki 4/4....... if we continue to do this we will create the following 12 patterns before it once again creates the original 6/4 pattern. So the crystal has 12 variations within it.

Each of the codes has a hexagram number and an opposite number which tells us where in the crystal shape peaks are in the double crystal they are the only ones that appear to be horizontal rather than vertical. Yet they still have tops and bottoms in this case GGT 7/6 at the top and CCA 8/2 at the bottom.

Each of these codons have a shape there are Lecturers x 5..... Alternators x 2... Magicians x 2.....Teachers x 2...... Thinkers x 1 5 types of shape.

There are 2 Alternators, 1 Lecturer and 1 Thinker at the four cardinal points...........but as this is a double crystal maybe it doesn't work to the same principles.

Shapes are as follows:

Red energy motivates it is strong and active a doing energy....there are 9 red lines within this crystal.

Blue energy is more restful, peaceful and shows talent …..there are 14 blue lines within this crystal, you take time to chill out in blue energy.

Green lines are thinking energy, communications, connections, changing, adapting energies...... there are 13 green lines within this crystal.

9 + 14 + 13 = 36 energy lines............9 lines of red is average for doing energy, 13 green is about average for thinking energy and 14 blue is on the low side for finding time to rest and have some peace. The Right Hand side of the double crystal is about shock, shaking, repose, control and the taming of the shrew, metamorphosis, innocence, keeping still, restrictive regulations, taking the initiative. Nurture even the smallest of things and watch them grow.

This also creates the DNA Codon AGG and the Nine Star Ki 6/4 …... if we take the top line of this arrangement and move it to the bottom and in the process Jang becomes Jin we have a new pattern.........

This new pattern creates the DNA Code TAG and the Nine Star Ki 4/9....... if we continue to do this we will create the following 12 patterns before it once again creates the original 6/4 pattern. So the crystal has 12 variations within it.

There are 2 Alternators, 1 Lecturer and 1 Thinker at the four cardinal points...........but as this is a double crystal maybe it doesn't work to the same principles.

The Left Hand side of the double crystal is about pushing upwards, sprouting out, new sort of energy joy and self indulgence can be found here. There is a need of a partner in this crystal which it finds in the similarities of the Right hand side of the double crystal. Abundance and increase abound.

8/4 - 7/3 Crystal DNA Codons and Aspect Shapes

In this case we have two blue and one red................so if we threw these coins we would have created Jin– Jin – Jang or in Nine Star Ki a number 8

Jin – Jang – Jang or in Nine Star Ki a number 4

So if we change the coins to lines solid or broken and we place the number 4 on top of the number 8 we get the following lines..........

This also creates the DNA Codon CTG and the Nine Star Ki 8/4 …... if we take the top line of this arrangement and move it to the bottom and in the process Jang becomes Jin we have a new pattern.........

This new pattern creates the DNA Code TCT and the Nine Star Ki 2/9....... if we continue to do this we will create the following 12 patterns before it once again creates the original 8/4 pattern. So the crystal has 12 variations within it.

Each of these codons have a shape there are Lecturers x 2..... Alternators x 4... Ruminators x 2.....Workers x 2...... Thinkers x 2 5 types of shape.

There are 2 ruminators and 2 workers at the four cardinal points...........

2 + 24 + 6 = 36 energy lines............14 lines of red is a quite active energy there is not as much relaxing or peaceful energy as one would like work rest and play in the alternators but much thinking and activity in the other aspects shapes. The 8/4 crystal is all about great gains, karma, wealth and abundance, counting your blessings, gradual progress and advancement, great for scientists or artists you may want to pursue a goal which does not in itself make you a living with so many thoughts you could find yourself distracted......you need to know when to call a halt to a project when it has gone as far as it can go ….. or should go. There is potential for genius here........alternating between work and rest and then spending time in thought before setting about work again.........creativity in motion. Perhaps wealth enables you to spend time in thought.

The 6/6 - 2/2 Crystal Codons Nine Star Ki and Aspect shapes

The 6/6 – 2/2 Crystal

So if we change the coins to lines solid or broken and we place the number 2 on top of the number 6 we get the following lines..........

This also creates the DNA Codon AAA and the Nine Star Ki 6/2 …... if we take the top line of this arrangement and move it to the bottom and in the process Jin becomes Jang we have a new pattern.........

This new pattern creates the DNA Code GAA and the Nine Star Ki 6/3....... if we continue to do this we will create the following 12 patterns before it once again creates the original 6/2 pattern. So the crystal has 12 variations within it.

Each of the codes has a hexagram number and an opposite number which tells us where in the crystal shape it sits top and bottom in this crystal are CCC 2/2 and GGG 6/6........lets start the whole pattern from GGG.....

We now have twelve codons that go round and round reproducing themselves.

Each of these codons have a shape there are Lecturers x 2..... Alternators x 4... Grand Trines x 4...... Thinkers x 2 4 types of shape.

The Grand Trines are at all four cardinal points...........the Alternators are strongest and the Lecturers are strong on the left hand side with the Thinkers strong on the right hand side of the crystal.

Shapes are as follows:

Red energy motivates it is strong and active a doing energy....there are 6 red lines within this crystal.

Blue energy is more restful, peaceful and shows talent …..there are 24 blue lines within this crystal, you take time to chill out in blue energy.

Green lines are thinking energy, communications, connections, changing, adapting energies...... there are 6 green lines within this crystal.

2 + 24 + 6 = 36 energy lines............This is a very orderly balanced and harmonious laid back kind of crystal a lot of blue energy shows talent if they make the effort to deliver it....... The Alternator switching from work to rest and play not seemingly able to do both either in full flow of creativity or doing very little at all. The Lecturer shows the intelligence to deliver with the Thinker helping those thoughts along but the Grand Trines at cardinal points tell us there is much good here and it needs to be delivered but when life shows no urgency you can get lost in the relaxing realms and your talents wont be delivered. You must not be so laid back that your ideas never get the chance to see the light of day.

The 6/6 Crystal holds a lot of talent but the clock and time seem not to exist and a sense of orderly Manyana seems to exist. The 6/6 crystal has access to all areas which may explain the talent. The Heavenly dynamic that seeks union with another ….... hearts reaching out.........atoms magnetically attracted to each other.....the energies of Heaven and Earth combined to create life. 

The 1/1 - 9/9 Crystal Codons Nine Star Ki and Aspect Shapes

The 1/1 – 9/9 Crystal

In this case red is heads and blue is tails................so if we threw these coins we would have create Jang – Jin – Jang or in Nine Star Ki a number 1.

Throw another three coins and you get....

Jang – Jang – Jin or in Nine Star Ki a number 7

So if we change the coins to lines solid or broken and we place the number 7 on top of the number 1 we get the following lines..........

This also creates the DNA Codon TGC and the Nine Star Ki 1/7…... if we take the top line of this arrangement and move it to the bottom and in the process Jin becomes Jang we have a new pattern.........

 This new pattern creates the DNA Code ATG and the Nine Star Ki 9/4....... if we continue to do this we will create the following 12 patterns before it once again creates the original 1/7 pattern. So the crystal has 12 variations within it.

Each of the codes has a hexagram number and an opposite number which tells us where in the crystal shape it sits top and bottom in this crystal are CGC 1/1 and GCG 9/9........lets start the whole pattern from GCG.....

We now have twelve codons that go round and round reproducing themselves.

Each of these codons have a shape there are Lecturers x 4..... Ruminators x 4... Workers x 4...... 12 shapes but only 3 ways of presenting them.

The Lecturers are at all four cardinal points...........the Workers are strongest down the right hand side and the Ruminators strongest down the left hand side of the crystal.

Blue energy is more restful, peaceful and shows talent …..there are 4 blue lines within this crystal, you take time to chill out in blue energy.

Green lines are thinking energy, communications, connections, changing, adapting energies...... there are 12 green lines within this crystal.

20 + 4 + 12 = 36 energy lines............very active a great deal of thought goes into this crystal before activating it and there is not so much time for resting. It can be a stressful thing and a cause of anxiety to have this much red and green in your make unless you are creative and love to be constantly on the go.... you think long and hard about something then you do something about it and it manifests.........just be careful not to overdo things. If your being creative and hard working it doesn't always feel like work.

The 1/1 Crystal is on a mission...........should you wish to accept it. Difficulties that cross your path and how you cope with them is what the 1/1 crystal shows us most clearly. This is no longer about you and me or Heaven and Earth now it includes family.
