Variations on a Theme of Music and Astrology

Here we see an octave on the piano which is made up of 12 notes or tones as th Astrology chart is also made up of 12 birth signs I feel they have a connection……perhaps of my own making but so many things partner together you cannot help but see it. The top section shows how TAGC repeats three times across the keys and also around a birth chart. The second section shows the octave as a musical keyboard. The third section as astrological birth signs. The last one is showing the houses of a birth chart. Each of the above is showing a measure of how far it is from one point to another now we see below another way those are measured…

The first measure is 30* from T to A or Aries to Taurus or 1st to 2nd house it would get a bit confusing to write it that way so I will break it down below. Obviously the count of the notes determines the starting position so they vary. 

1st house Aries - T - Fire - 30* to Taurus - A - Earth - Minor 2nd - A minor second is very tense, clashing and tight sounding. It is the smallest measure. A sharp vibrations lacks rest and makes you feel you need to push forward or back to resolve the tension. Puts you on edge in horror films like Jaws……tense and suspenfilled music. As they are so close together they vibrate each other. It can feel a little menacing. Frequency ration not fixed but around 16/15 (1.0667).  Astrologically it is a space called a semisextile 30* aspect associated with the colour green, said to be awkward, frictional and unfamiliar. Not consider a major aspect (minor) two signs or elements next to each other Fire and Earth which don’t have much in common. They find it hard to understand each other. Like your neighbour is classical and you are a hippy it’s hard to find common ground and you need to adjust to each other to avoid friction. As you need to find ways to resolve your difference it can become a great aspect for problem solving. So a semi sextile and a minor 2nd seem to have much in common. So far so good.

1st house Aries - T - Fire - 60* - to 3rd House Gemini G -  Major 2nd - 2 semitones apart - this is mildly tense and a bit buzzy. Sounds ordinary and familiar, natural and stable. It is like a shimmery friction rather than a harsh one. Finds it easy to step up or down the scale. Frequency 9.8 (1.125) In astrology it makes a 60* Blue angle from Fire to Air in this case which are compatible with each other. A soft, positive aspect which brings ease, a natural flow and an ability for creativity. Its not the strongest so requires you to make the effort to participate with what you’re trying to create. Hidden talents and strengths a sense of co-operation between different areas. It’s fun to try new things with this energy around. 

1st House Aries - T - Fire - 90* - to Cancer 4th house - Water - Minor 3rd - (3 semitones apart) - has a warm but darker inner quality, a bit sad and melancholy or moody and mysterious. Brings out the blues with a depth of sadness, longing or soulful tension. Frequency ratio 6.5 (1.2) In astrology the 90* red aspect, fire and water and not compatible as water destroys fire. So difficulties here. A hard aspect creating friction, tension and inner conflict. Powerful tool though for personal growth and achievement. Red 90* energy gets things done. Can be ovcr assertive at times and intense power which can be put to good use. Tension and scattered energies cause tensions. Hard work is required to resolve the tension. 

1st house Aries T - Fire - 120* - to T - Leo - Fire - 5th house - Major 3rd - (4 semitones apart) - a bright, happy, sound sweet to the ear. Joyful and bright a key to making happy music together. Frequency 5.4 (1.2599) In astrology it is the 120* trine aspect blue - creates an effortless flow of positive energy. Both elements the same so they support each other, natural gift, hidden blessings, work without any struggle at all. Lack of tension can sometimes lead to complacency as it is just too easy. Confident, inspirational, very grounding. Hard work to release tension but this easy energy needs to be worked so it doesn’t just fade away and be wasted. 

1st House T - Aries - Fire - 150* to A - Virgo - 6th house - Earth - A perfect 4th (5 semitones) a bold, open sound with a suspended quality that sounds like a hopeful lift or an unanswered question. Frequency 4.3 (1.333) It can feel tense or restless but has a clear ring to it. That restless feeling cann leave you unstable. That said it is viewed as a pure divine ration of timeless character. In astrology the 150* Quincunx green energy. In this situation it is fire and earth not compatible elements. I love that this aspect is sometimes called the finger of God or a Yod. It can feel awkward and in need of constant adjustment, like something needs to be done. The signs do not understand each other and this angle does not make it easy to see either sides opinion. Like they are speaking another language. It can be hard work leading to exhaustion. Problem solving only to discover another thing that needs adjustment. Said to be a path for growth potential….now that does give me tension. 

1st House - T - Aries - Fire - 180* to G - Libra - Air 7th house. The Tritone - (6 semitones) this one sounds unstable, dissonant, eerie, edgy, as though something has been left unresolved, a strong pull for the ear to want to hear something more pleasant. It divides an octave in half. Known as the devils interval. Medieval church musicians called it diabolus and avoided it whenever possible because it sounded so harsh and unsettling. When you hear a tritone you beg it to move on back or forward just move on to a more calm consonant chord. Used in heavy metal music and in movies to sound unstable, bold and full of suspense. Dread and fear come to mind. The church actually banned the use of the Tritone at one time. Frequency 2/1 (1.414) can vary. In astrology the 180* or opposition aspect is associated with the colour red. Dividing a birth chart across its centre. In this case Fire and Air which sitting opposite each other in a chart are actually quite complimentary to each other. A push me pull me energy here. With this there are two different viewpoints and you will fight to project your opinion forward. This is a hard aspect the most difficult of them all. Because the elements have something in common with work you can come to a shared opinion leading to your own self awareness. Quit the drama and communication comes to mind. Compromise and a sense of co-operation is required to bring this back to balance and harmony.  It may be a clash of energies but harmony does return eventually. 

1st house - T - Aries - Fire - 210* to C Scorpio Water 8th house…….the Perfect 5th….(7 semitones) sounds stable, open, strong, hollow and blends smoothly. Feels restful to the ear. Grand and Bright. Frequency 3:2 (1.5) In Astrology the 210* aspect appears to be the same as the 150* aspect and yet one makes a perfect 4th and this a perfect 5th so there have to be differences. The description is not unlike the 150* but we don’t have the unanswered question here more likely it will be a transformation, questions no longer need answering and change will come. Being the house of Scorpio that might well be in many different ways. The 150* is more about health and perhaps the 210* is whether you made it, or have made changes to improve things. 

All frequencies will depend on the starter note. These variations have all started from Aries T The 1st House or musical note C and spread outwards but obviously they can start from any position. Musically its one note or the other but astrologically elements, houses, signs, planets all have an impact on the result.

So having compared music and astrology I have to say I still feel a strong connection between them and the musical sound description fits well with the aspect degrees and how they might both make you feel. Enjoy your thinking. X 

Astrology in The Hall of Mirrors

 

In the years prior to 1870’s……mirrors were made containing Mercury and if you were to face two of these mirrors opposite to each other they create an optical infinity tunnel of repeating, receding reflections which reflect parts of the infrared spectrum differently to modern mirrors. Placing them closely around a heat source (over the fireplace - or a candle on a table between them) can create a thermal resonant cavity that concentrates radiant energy in the centre. Light will bounce back and forth between the parallel reflective surfaces producing a tunnel like effect. Infact the images do not go on forever but with each bounce between them the Mercury amalgam absorbs a tiny fraction of the light, images grow dimmer, more blurred and take on a green shadowy tone. They have the potential to form a portal that might trap negative energy. Many back in the day say they saw images of different times and people they could even attempt to communicate with. As though somehow time was trapped in the memory of Mercury. Pharaoh's were buried in a coffin surrounded by a stream of Mercury to help them get in touch with the spirits so they could help them return home. So there is something going on here we might think of as ridiculous today and yet. 

So two parallel mirrors trap electro magnetic energy……could this be similar to the electrical production Tesla had in mind. Was it stopped because of these side effects of contacting different times.  Maybe not but something does appear to be happening and these mirrors have history. In Feng Shui we are told never put two mirrors opposite to each other and that goes back to these times, perhaps does not apply nowadays in silver back mirrors. In a Mormon church the couple kneel facing each other with mirrors behind them whilst they make their vows so they are married into infinity. 

Lets play with it another way we know that planets in their positions at the time of our birth have an effect on the Earth so lets take a look at our own birth charts and how they have an effect on us. If we draw a circle and place the planets around it as they are at the time of your birth and then using only aspects between 180 (Tritone or diablos), 150*, 135*, 120* and 108* 180* being the most difficult of all of the aspects but perhaps using these larger aspects and putting a mirror of 10* size in the place of any planets we have. My own would look something like the windmill above. If in a circular room of mirrors what effect would the placement of the planets have. We could clearly see the opposite planet in a 180* aspect. Still be able to see in the smaller aspects but to a lesser degree. So do we have to face the fact that our planets do indeed create energy good or bad in the centre of the circle or our bodies. Perhaps a reason for Feng Shui to recommend we keep the centre of our rooms empty. Or why torturers might place the chair in the centre of an empty room before they start their interrogation. 

Not much reflection going on iin my 2nd, 6th, 10th, or 11th houses but otherwise quite a good range. I think a trip to a Hall of Mirrors is called for. Enjoy your thinking. X 

The Bagua and Astrology chart within it…….based on 1 at the Centre

 Today I want to take a closer look at the energy coming from the centre of a nine star ki Bagua. In this particular set Number One is at the centre but the same pattern but different colours applies to all numbers at the centre of a bagua. So first of all we see a pattern showing only the lines coming from the centre and pushing into more water or out into the bagua. 

A simple pattern but it holds 8 inner positions 9 with a centre from all the lines and can be used as a Bagua. It also has 12 lines to the outer edge which we can then use to mark sun signs in astrology. 

The blue colours are powerful energies pushing out into the world  from the centre. The red lines are pushing back into another Number 1 position of water,  pushing out from the centre then 3 pushing out and one pushing into another 1 water position, except for the top left and the bottom right which have the opposite one blue pushing out and three red pushing into a water position. 

All other directional arrows have been excluded using only the ones pushing into or out of water as Number 1 water is the main focus here. 

Here we have the final pattern of water pushing out from the centre……..blue is pushing out and the red combinations are when that leaf is both pushing into and out of water at the same time. 

I think it would make a lovely brooch. Finally lets turn it on its side for an alternative view. 

I often think The I Ching The Word based on 28143976 should be turned this way with 2/2 at the top and 6/6 at the bottom………..Enjoy your weekend and your thinking. Imagine this is diamonds and blue saphhires. Bliss. X

As you can see only the colours Orange and Blue appear in any of the DNA Codons for 2025……

Take a peek at the directions the energy is flowing and you see they are all turned inwards. All energy is facing the centre 2/2 Codon. It is as though all the energy is pouring in a black whole at the centre. 2 does not share another year it stands alone and next year moves straight into a 1 year which pairs with 9 and so on. All the other years get to share with a partner and number 2 is a one off. Maybe because the energy turns inwards it has no need of another year to cancel it out as the other pairings of 1-9…8-7…6-5…4-3…2……….then begin again. Having checked all of them I now find all double number centres have their energy flowing inwards.

Aspect shapes for each month in a 2 year are a variation of Thinkers and Grand Trines……..if you look at the circle we have only blue or green aspect lines here, no red energy at all. That said if the energy is now in the process of turning inwards it doesn’t really need any red doing energy. 

Grand Trine 4 with 8 Thinkers…..Blue and Green only……..together they create 3 double Thinkers I often think this aspect doubled up looks like ballerinas legs but they are said to be putting a light on the open area with the 30* aspect forming a magnified view or an eye. So they pretty much have every area covered. The Grand Trines are in Fire and Water only and only the Fire and Water points have aspects connected to them. Like three floodlights. 

I am and I will are strong energies…..I feel and I desire more emotional…..and I perceive and I believe are living in hope of seeing all you perceive coming into fruition. 

With a south westerly Number 2 wind trees can be uprooted or break their stems if the wind load is stronger than the tree. The crown of a tree can be damaged this way. A strong South Westerly wind can make trees grow lopsided as they lean towards the North West trying to stay up.  A South Westerly wind hits hard. 

Tree and Air Energy (3 & 4) controls Soil energy (2,8,5) …..Tree supports and creates Fire energy which 

In turn supports and creates Earth energy. Trees need to control Earth to make sure their roots are firmly 

Planted should those S.W. Winds prevail. Tree energy can also be about wealth and prosperity and 

Number 2 soil can be about banking those profits or using them in ways that preserves them such as

Buying property or land then you have security should you decide to marry and have a family. 

Nine Star Ki map based on 2 at the centre….

Number 2: Supportive or submissive, motherly, all about motherhood and that need to feel mothered, nurturing, gentle, receptive, quiet.  You understand things take time, supportive, self sacrificing, a person who gets things done quietly, reserved, devoted, need time to develop, conservative, worriers, wanting to take the lead is a mistake, be second assistant and don't go for leader until you know your ready. The tortoise often wins the race. Number two likes company, being alone is not an option, land and property of interest here as they are long term investments. Plan do not rush into anything. 

Hex 2 - Magnetic Earth……receptive……Earth Mother, Jin, connects to the field of all consciousness, passive and yielding. Perhaps all the energy is entering the womb before being born again anew. Everything is returning to the centre of the Earth. There is no Earth or Air energy this year so make the most of the Fire and Water maybe you will see the Kingdom of Heaven for they say unless you are born of fire and water you will not see the Kingdom of Heaven. 

To the number 2 - 1 is a lonely number perhaps because they have no partner they are all about marriage and unions. Not relationships but marriage. Number 2 is a giving number, generous and nurturing. The Earth is all about Mothering a good year to pray to Mother Mary if you so require. 

Number 2 is strongly associated with the planet Saturn…….some say yikes to Saturn but I see it as the Star Turn in your chart. It is restrictive and maybe thats why it turns inwards and shrinks but it is always teaching us something to take things slowly, don’t over extend ourselves. Prepare to be organised and orderly.  Discipline and structure are key traits of Saturn. Time to plan for growing up and those long term goals. Taking a more responsible position in society is also required by Saturn. Ruler of Capricorn, your position in society is important. Also ruler to Aquarius so society in the form of groups and organisations here. Taking a responsible role in life dictates your position in the world.  

When 5 and 6 pair up they share all 12 musical notes between them but in the case of the number 2 only 6 notes are connected the other six are simply lost in space. 

Amino acids…Serine 3 - Leucine 3 - Proline 4 - Phenylalanine 2

The dominant amino acid for the number 2 is Proline with equal amounts of serine and leucine. Phenylalanine has 2 versions and the number 2 is the only number involved in the making of Phenylalanine. 

2/7 and 2/6 both create Phenylalanine and yet looking above at what makes each DNA Codon we have to accept they are not the same versions of phenylalanine in each case. 4 versions of Proline too but with subtle differences and so on. When people talk of amino acids they seem to think there are 20 with one Start codon and 3 Stops but there are 64 difference amino acid versions in my opinion for the very fact they are different in so many other ways why not the amino acid too. 

The Hexagram numbers are 2 - 8 -12 - 16 - 20 - 23 - 35 - 45

None of them pair up to each other. 

The Crystals connected to the number 2 are 2 for the Double Crystal - 4 for the 8/4 - 7/3 crystal and the major count for the 6/6 - 2/2 crystal which as this is connected to the number 2 is hardly surprisingly the dominant crystal. 

There are 7 codons in the Water quadrant - 5 codons in the Fire quadrant and none in Earth or Water.

The shapes and colours of the Hexagrams have 8 on top shapes like the horse in the gym even numbers and 4 like a boat shape odd numbers. 

So we can see here in the Four Pillars Nine Star Ki calculator that the new 2 year begins within the hours of 3 and 5 pm on 3rd, February, 2025……….so be ready plan carefully and waste none of the energy that comes with a 2 year make the very best of it and you can start your life blue print again in the next 1 year of 2026. Make sure you have prepared and that blue print is ready to be put into place. Above all enjoy the year it wont come around again for another 9. X

Astrology Charts and their Dynamic Triangular Shapes - An Alternator

Working with only full triangular aspects in your birth chart take one triangle and see what information you can glean from it.
