Soloman’s Temple Game for 12th August, 2025

 

Todays game of Soloman’s Temple sadly the minimum I have managed is still 34 triangles but I live in hope of achieving the 32.  Patience is required which is probably why games like this are often called Patience. Enjoy your thinking knowing that these 34 triangles can create anything and everything in your world should you so desire. x

Solomans Temple in its most Reduced Form

Well those of you who are familiar with Soloman's Temple as a game of 34 triangles that make up all the patterns of DNA then this may come as no surprise but having made some other triangles with two sides in different colours it occurred to me that a pattern of less triangles could be used to create all 64 DNA Codons within its pattern. This is new to me and I have managed to make up a game this morning that consists of 20 triangles. The pattern seen can be imagined as floating in space so as it turns you see the other side and thus in just 20 triangles with two sides you can reproduce all 64 DNA Codons that exist. Life just keeps on getting smaller. lol. Enjoy your thinking. x

I guess if you use a magnifying class to look at small things you might be able to see they could be smaller and vice versa, you seek out a planet and end up finding a Universe. We we one day manage to create everything from even less. X

Soloman’s Temple 11th May 2025 in 34 Triangles of DNA Codons

Well it sod’s law that in the previous listing I said you cannot make a 34 pattern with the three repeating letters of a DNA Codon having the other three colours/letters attached and yet here it is each of the GGG AAA CCC and TTT codons has the three other colours attached. It makes me wonder if I should be pushing to make it a game of 32 now. 

I had another game of reducing the 64 codons of DNA to just 8 cubes that you could turn around until you were able to read all 64 codons ………one day it just clicked that only 4 cubes were required because you can read them both clockwise and anticlockwise. A rule is a rule until that rule is broken. These four cubes below are capable of reading all 64 codons in different directions….

For example the above image can be read as CGG or CCG and so on as can be read in the four cubes above. Life is often much simpler than we think. Enjoy your thinking whilst I go on to see if I can reduce Soloman’s Temple to a game of 32. X

Soloman’s Temple game for 9th May, 2025 - 34 piece

34 Piece Soloman’s Temple of all 64 DNA Here we see a 34 piece set of the game Soloman’s Temple which contains within it all 64 codons of DNA. The code can be read in any direction for example TGC is also CGT and so on. 

To show all 3 part codons 64 times would mean using 192 triangles but the game shows you how to make all 64 appear in the minimum amount of triangles. Here we have 34 which is the lowest I have ever achieved. I did say 36 was the minimum for over ten years until I made a game of 34 purely by chance. If you manage it in less do let me know.

The image above shows the layout. One thing I noticed in a game of 36 all the triple codons TTT, GGG, AAA, CCChad to have one of each of the colours coming off it so eg CCC would have a G, T and A attached and the CCC itself would be the fourth. All triples have to do that. In  order to make a game of less than 36 you have to break this down and add at least one 3 piece in order to get that codon but you also have to add only two others colours or letters to the 3 piece it cannot be done without this change. So CCC can have T and G attached but elsewhere you would need CCA. Why this is I do not yet know but I have never made a 34 with all four triple letters having 3 other letter attachments. 

In this image we see TTT with attachments of C, G and A, then CCC with attachments G,T and A, AAA with G,T, and C but when we come to GGG it has only T and C attached. Hence it made this game possible from just 34 triangles. 

From this image we see where lines are drawn no further triangles can be added without making the same codon twice so the codons that read the same in both directions e.g. AGA, TAT, make it more difficult to add to the game. The spots marked with a triangle are still open to adding another triangle if you need to. So codons with three different letters are much easier to work with. In this 34 piece map it has to dominate in Air and Water because the number 34 cannot be divided by 4. So wind and water prevails here as nice Feng Shui Nine Star Ki should. Enjoy your thinking. X 

Soloman’s Temple for 6th, April, 2025

 

Here we have todays version  of Soloman’s Temple……..a pattern showing all 64 DNA Codons within the 34 triangles shown. The lines around the edges are positions that no further triangle can be added because it would create a codon that is already present. The positions with hearts can have more triangles added if required.  DNA Codons are made up of 3 letters x 64 codons which is 192 triangles to represent the whole pattern. This pattern of 34 is the least I have ever been able to play this game in although I did think for ten years it was 36 so who knows one day I might reach a 32. With 36 you can have 9 equal parts of Water, Fire, Earth and Air/tree so it feels balanced once you have only 34 parts imbalance presents. There are 36 triangles within an I Ching Crystal so 36 seemed likely to be the best. So now its 34 who knows if it will ever be able to come down more.

In a pattern of 34 I have noticed that the biggest one colour is GGG - CCC - AAA - TTT and they have one of each colour attached to the three part codon. Now all three part codons are required but sometimes not all of the 3 other triangles fit next to the three ………as shown above bottom left GGG Yellow, Yellow, Yellow, has only the C Blue attached to it and the T and A are attached to a two part GG. I would have thought it a waste as you now need 5 G’s but for some reason or other it makes it possible to make the 34 pattern. Enjoy your thinking and pattern making. X 

20th March 2025 Game of 34 Piece Soloman’s Temple

 

We see here todays version of 34 triangles of DNA which creates all 64 codons of DNA when read in any direction. You can add at any point so long as it does not create a repeat in the pattern. The black dots here are where no further triangles can be added without creating repeats of the pattern. This set has 12 triangles in each colour which is 40 and as only 34 are needed for this pattern there are 6 remaining shown in the top left hand corner. Enjoy your thinking. X 

There are many ways for Codons to partner up and they can Infact create more than one of them as any string of DNA can x

I decided to try some different triangles for the Game Solo Man’s Temple but I think I will have to try to find someone who can make a triangular shape similar to a Ma Jong counter so I can colour them alternately on each side. Enjoy x 

34 Part Soloman’s Temple for 26th January, 2025

 

Here we have a game of Soloman’s Temple in 34 parts………for many years I thought the game could only be reduced to 36 and as there are 36 parts in a DNA I Ching Crystal that seemed perfect. Then I discovered the 34 part set which still includes all 64 codons of DNA within its pattern read in any direction. There are only 8 triangles of Air/Tree Yellow and 8 parts of C Blue Water. I thought in the perfect 36 a balanced map would be 9 of each element and I guess thats still true but now I know I can make the pattern from just 34 triangles the balance of elements is no longer possible. 

This image is the same 34 piece game but the X’s mark the points where you cannot add to the pattern without creating two of the same Codons. Very few points of entry in this 34 pattern only at the ends of the shape and a few other points but the pattern is very nearly impossible to add to at this point.

Soloman’s Temple Game of 34 for 13.12.2024

 

Here we see a 36 part game of Soloman’s Temple

Then I mark it with a Heart in the position that you cannot add to without creating two of the same codons. Then we carry on to change the 36 to a game of 34 with much effort but I get there in the end because now I know it can become a game of 34 a game of 36 is just not good enough. 

Here we have a completed game of 34 very much changed from the game of 36 above only four of the original hearts remain and of course many more unmarked have been created. These doubled positions of triangles that create two codons if you add to them seem to be the key to an easier game of 34 packing them in and out of the way definitely helps. Enjoy your thinking. X

Soloman’s Temple in a Game of 34 DNA Codons

 

Here we have Soloman’s Temple for the day showing only 34Triangles and beautifully created by my son whose skills are definitely required for me. Without a doubt now 34 triangles have been created many times which surprises me as it has been 10 years of the game made up from 36 triangles so no one is more surprised than me to find it can be reduced. Maybe in 2035 I will get it down to 32 who knows. Enjoy your thinking. X 

Soloman’s Temple for 2024 has now been reduced to just 34 Triangles

 

Here we see the game Soloman’s Temple where we can take triangles and make them into DNA Codons which can be read from any direction and create ALL 64 codons of DNA within a pattern of 36 triangles. Now we can see from above that I have now managed after 12 years to achieve the same thing but with only 34 triangles. I was so convinced it would never be able to make all 64 codons in less than 36 triangles and it did not happen until very recently that I created a game with only 34. I have checked it over and over again and it is correct. DNA I Ching Crystals contained 12 codons or 36 letters of DNA to create and finish a crystal so it seemed likely 36 was the number that would never reduce but I was wrong so now Soloman’s Temple can be played using only 34 triangles. It means two are missing to form a balance of 9 of each element but no matter it is possible with an uneven number of elements……I wonder what effect that might have on the object created. Results for Game of Soloman’s Temple 5/5/2024

 

Today’s completed game showing 4 x 9 tiles of the elements fire, water, air/tree and earth. 

As tightly packed in hexagon shapes as it can be snaking along its way. Strangely to look at this one you get the idea it is moving to the right though of course it isn’t but those snake like shapes do make it flow. Enjoy your thinking. X 

The DNA Game Soloman’s Temple for this week

 

Todays game of Solomans Temple…………..36 triangles which within the pattern show all 64 Codons of DNA read in any direction. 9 of each of the elements T Fire - C Water - G Air/Tree - A Earth…….a balanced measure of the codons when 9 of each are used although the game can be made up of more of one element than the other and you can still red all codons but its not as neat and orderly as The Universe prefers. 

Here we see another version of the game with 9 of each element. The four corner triangles show the position of the Main Codons or Grand Trines of CCC - TTT - GGG - AAA and the centres are the complimentary opposites. So for every game you set up with balanced elements you could recreate it with its complimentary opposite in each place and still have a game. E.g. C Blue becomes G Air/Tree and T Fire becomes A Earth…………..enjoy your thinking. X 

Soloman’s Temple for 16th, January, 2024

Tim for another game of Soloman’s Temple but I will show a few of the layers of the game as we go along…….

This first attempt has all 64 codons of DNA hidden within it but it contains 40 small triangles which is okay if your happy to settle for completing the game as you have shown all 64 codons within the pattern. That said 36 is the exact version of the game with the least amount of triangles to make up the codons so lets improve on the image above by moving a few things around. 

Thats better now we have a set of just 36 triangles……….but I am still not happy as there are 9 C Blue Water triangles, 8 Orange T Fire, 10 A Green Earth and 9 G Yellow Air/Tree Triangles. So Water and Air/tree are fine as they have 9 triangles each but Fire and Earth need to be balanced. 

Now we have the perfect game with 9 of each element……ah bliss…….the black dots on the image are places you cannot put any triangle because it would immediately create two codons the same. Somedays playing can be ten minutes I have been two days on this one………..it all depends you think you are skilled only to end up five days in and still not balanced. Have fun trying. X
