Map 67 Hydrophobic and Hydrophilic DNA and its place on the chain

DNA and its place on the chain

TGC Hydrophobic i/s           CGA Hydrophilic o/s
1/7 Cysteine                          4/1 Arganine

GAT Hydrophilic o/s            ATG Hydrophobic i/s
7/9 Aspartic Acid                  9/4 MET

TCG Hydrophilic o/s            GCA Hydrophobic I/s
8/9 Serine                            9/3 Alanine

CAC Hydrophilic o/s            CTC Hydrophobic I/s
1/2 Histidine                       2/1 Leucine

CCC Hydrophobic I/s          GGG Neutral therefore  o/s philic
2/2 Proline                         6/6 Glycine

AAA Hydrophilic o/s           TTT Hydrophobic I/s
6/2 Lysine                           2/6 Phenylalanine

AAC Hydrophilic o/s           TTC Hydrophobic I/s
7/2 Asparagine                    2/7 Phenylalanine

I/s = Inside                     and                   o/s = Outside

DNA has a dry inside and a wet outside. DNA consists of two anti parallel chains and we can now tell which side is on the outside of the chain by whether or not it likes to be on the wet side.
